The New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) is currently investigating three different robberies that all reportedly occurred yesterday within the same hour in New Brunswick, according to a University-wide email alert.

In the first incident, four male perpetrators reportedly approached the victims, who are affiliated with the University, yesterday at approximately 1:04 a.m. on Hartwell Street near Hamilton Street.

The perpetrators brandished a handgun and removed valuable items from the victims before fleeing in a silver SUV, according to the email. The victims were uninjured during this incident.

The second robbery took place yesterday at approximately 1:21 a.m. on Delafield Street in the area of Courtland Street.

The victim, who is affiliated with the University, was reportedly approached by three male perpetrators. The perpetrators brandished a handgun and delivered a single punch to the victim’s face in an unsuccessful attempt to steal a valuable item, according to the email.

The perpetrators then fled the area via an older model dark gray minivan. The victim, who received a minor injury during the incident, declined further medical attention at the scene.

The third incident occurred on the same day at approximately 1:29 a.m on Prospect Street in the area of Somerset Street. The victim, who is unaffiliated with the University, reported that he was approached by two male perpetrators, according to the email.

The description of the perpetrators of all three incidents remains limited at this time, and police patrols have been increased in the areas of the incidents, according to the email.

Anyone with information regarding the incidents or who may have been in any of the areas at the time should contact the NBPD.
