RUPD investigates another vehicle theft from Livingston campus

The Rutgers University Police Department (RUPD) is currently investigating the theft of a motor vehicle from Livingston campus, according to a University-wide email alert.

The theft reportedly occurred in Lot 103 on Livingston campus between 5:00 p.m. on Monday and 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday, when the vehicle was left unattended.

This incident follows the theft of three vehicles from Lot 105 on Livingston campus which took place on March 31, as previously reported by The Daily Targum.

The description of the perpetrator is limited at this time, according to the email. 

The RUPD requests that anyone with information regarding the incident or who may have been in the area at the time contact its detective bureau.

In addition, the RUPD reminds students to keep vehicles locked and to avoid storing keys inside vehicles, according to the email. Individuals should also stay alert to people and their surroundings and keep valuables within vehicles out of sight.
