Two criminal sexual contact incidents occur on, near College Avenue campus

The New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) is investigating two criminal sexual contact incidents that occurred on Monday night, according to a University-wide email alert.
The first incident occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. between Hamilton Street and Seminary Place on the College Avenue campus. The second incident occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. near Hamilton Street and Easton Avenue.
Both incidents involved an unknown perpetrator who groped two individuals in an intimate area while running past them. The victims, who are affiliated with the University, were not physically injured from the incidents.
The perpetrator fled both incidents on foot and the NBPD did not share a description of the suspect in the alert.
The Rutgers University Police Department (RUPD) asks students to remain aware of their surroundings, avoid walking in obscured areas and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
The RUPD asks anyone who may have been nearby or has any information about the incident to contact the NBPD Detective Bureau.
